Launched a year ago, the contest received 1,327 entries from members of various veterans’ associations, people from all walks of life, and socio-political organizations nationwide.

The organizing panel hands over awards to the best pieces of writing on veterans.

According to the organizers, almost all of the entries highlight the bright examples of the veterans in daily life.

The contest was seen as encouragement and motivation for veterans to further promote the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and at the same time introduce bright examples to young generations to follow.

At the ceremony, the organizers presented two second, seven third and 50 consolidation prizes to the best pieces of writing on veterans. They also gave certificates of merit to five units with the most participants.
