Vietnamese unit extends greetings to Cambodian peers on Chol Chnam Thmay festival
PANO - A delegation from the Binh Phuoc provincial Military Command extended greetings and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the Military Sub-region of the Gendarmerie Command of Mondulkiri province, Cambodia on the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay festival, on April 6 and 7.
The delegation, led by Senior Colonel Pham Khac Toan, Second-in-Command Officer and Chief of Staff of the Binh Phuoc provincial Military Command, visited various locations during their trip.
During the visits, Senior Colonel Pham Khac Toan congratulated the leadership, officers, and soldiers of the Military Sub-region of the Gendarmerie Command of Mondulkiri province.
Both sides affirmed that in 2023, the Binh Phuoc provincial Military Command and the military sub-region of the Mondulkiri provincial Gendarmerie Command regularly exchanged information to maintain security and order in the shared borderline and raise the living standards of people in border areas. The Cambodian side proactively coordinated with the Vietnamese unit in the search, collection and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who sacrificed in Cambodia during the war.
Leaders of the Binh Phuoc provincial Military Command and the Military Sub-region of the Gendarmerie Command of Mondulkiri province also discussed and agreed to boost coordination in information exchange related to political security, social order and safety; sharing experiences in search and rescue operations; crime prevention and control; and the search and repatriation of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers.
