According to Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard Command, in 2023, the service well collaborated with other forces to closely follow the developments of sea and islands-related situations. Officers and troops exerted efforts and overcame hardships and dangers to excellently fulfill assigned missions.

He said that the obtained results came from the solidarity and efforts of troops; timely leadership, direction, and care of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, ministries, and sectors; the close coordination among functional forces, agencies, and units inside and outside the military; the support of local party committees, authorities, and people.

On checking Flotilla 33 of Coast Guard Region 3, Lt. Gen. Bui Quoc Oai asked the unit to strictly observe combat readiness, build detailed plan to help troops have a happy and cozy New Year, pay attention to organizing gratitude activities, and effectively combat crime, violations at sea, especially illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
