During the one-month long program, troops worked with local authorities, youths, and people to build a wooden bridge, dredge sewerage, and clean up the environment in the locality.

They also helped five households construct their houses, transplant rice in more than 5,000 sq.m paddy fields, prepare soil for vegetable cultivation, and fix classrooms of Nam Vi Kindergarten.
More importantly, the battalion’s troops conducted information dissemination to help local residents understand the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies, contributing to ensuring political security and local public order.
Major Tran Kim Anh, Deputy Commander of Battalion 1, said that the unit conducted activities in Nam Vi commune, a needy locality in Dien Bien province which features a high poverty rate, poor education level, complicated security situations, bad traffic, and hash weather conditions.
Thanks to the effective support from local people, the unit successfully fulfilled all the missions.
For his part, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nam Vi commune Lo Van Xuan affirmed that troops’ deeds left good impression on local people while strengthening their trust in the Vietnamese troops, the Party’s guidelines, and State’s policies.
