Signal unit conducts mass mobilization activities in Gia Lai’s locality
PANO – A mission of Brigade 132 of the Signal Corps has conducted mass mobilization activities and participated in building new-style rural areas in Ia Rong commune of Gia Lai province’s Chu Puh district.
Forty officers, non-commissioned officers, and troops provided free health check-ups, health counseling, and medicines to local people. They also presented 100 gifts and more than 1,000 sets of clothes to needy residents and policy beneficiaries in the locality.
The mission participated in building a rural road connecting the commune center to Road 25, a football ground, and sanitation system, and installing an electric lighting system for inter-commune roads. Cultural and sport exchanges with local youths were also held.

With the assistance from Brigade 132, Ia Rong commune has met 17 out of 19 criteria of the new-style rural area building program and targets to reach all the criteria this year.
Over the past time, the unit promoted dissemination to help local people embrace and strictly implement the Party’s guidelines and State’s policies. They also built rural roads, irrigation systems, and communal houses, and helped residents in developing household economy.
Truong Ngoc Anh, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Council of Ia Rong said that the assistance of troops from Brigade 132 greatly contributed to the effectiveness of new-style rural area building in the locality. The activities have demonstrated the sentiment and responsibility of signal troops towards local people and contributed to strengthening military-civilian solidarity.
