Teaching facilities handed over to kindergarten on Con Co Island
PANO - The Youth Union organization of the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN), in association with the Youth Union organizations of the Thang Long Air Service Corporation (TASECO), the Military Library, and the Vietnam Museum of Military History, held a ceremony on April 20 to hand over teaching facilities and a bookshelf to Con Co Island in Quang Tri province.
The program is a meaningful activity in celebration of the anniversaries of the South Liberation Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1). It also showed the relevant units’ care for the national beloved seas and islands.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel To Thanh Tuyen, PAN’s Political Chief, recalled the significant contribution of the islanders and troops to the struggle for national liberation and freedom in the past. He believed that the gifts, as an assistance to the building and protection of the island, would show the delegates’ responsibility towards and wholehearted care for the local people and troops.

At the event, the delegation handed over a large number of teaching facilities, televisions and computers and so on, at a total value of VND 120 million, to the Hoa Phong Ba Kindergarten. In addition, they also presented a bookshelf for children, worth VND 20 million, to the Con Co Island’s authorities.
