“Sentiment in border, island areas” Festival 2025 launched
PANO - On October 3, in Ninh Binh province’s Hoa Lu ward, the Military Youth Advisory Board, in coordination with agencies and units inside and outside the military, launched the “Sentiment in border and island areas” festival 2025 and organized the “I love my national sea and islands” contest.
The event saw the presence of Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The festival was an opportunity for military youth in particular, and Vietnamese youths in general, to embody the spirit of “Wherever needed, youth will be there; no matter how hard the task, youths will tackle it,” showing readiness to pioneer in all missions. It also aimed to cultivate love for the sea and islands, and promote law-abiding awareness and discipline among the younger generation and students.
The festival featured a wide range of meaningful, humanistic activities such as dissemination of information about current issues related to seas and islands, the Vietnam Coast Guard Law and relevant legal documents, and the fight against IUU fishing.

Presenting gifts to policy beneficiary families |
During the festival, an exhibition showcased images of the homeland and activities of the Vietnam Coast Guard. There were also visits and gift-presentation to heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiary families, poor households, and fishermen. Other highlight activities included distribution of legal handbooks, presentation of national flags, granting scholarships, giving bicycles and gifts to local disadvantaged students with good academic record.

Earlier the same day, delegates offered incense at the Special National Historical Relic Site of ancient capital Hoa Lu.
