Scholarships presented to poor students in border area of Tuy Phong district
PANO - The Binh Thuan provincial Border Guard Command on May 14 held a ceremony to grant 24 scholarships to disadvantaged students in the border area of Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.

Accordingly, the recipients are 24 needy students sponsored by the command, the border stations of Hoa Minh and Lien Huong port border gate.
These students will receive scholarships, worth VND 2.5 million each, and gifts from the sponsors.
On behalf of the recipients, student Nguyen Thi My Duyen from class 12A3 of Hoa Da High School expressed her deep thanks to Binh Thuan border guards and promised to surmount hardships and further study to become good citizens.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Colonel Dinh Van Sau, Political Commissar of the Binh Thuan provincial Border Guard Command, required leaders of the two mentioned border stations to pay more attention to needy students during their studies and call for more donations.

At the event, Nghia Vinh Limited Liability Company (Binh Thuan) presented 1,600 student books, valued at VND 6 million in total, to Le Van Tam, Nguyen Binh Khiem, Vinh Hao Primary Schools and Tuy Phong High School.
The scholarship program “Helping students to school” was conducted in 2016 by the Binh Thuan provincial Border Guard Command. Up to now, the unit has sponsored 260 students with the financial support of VND 4.5 million per student per school year.
In addition, the command has coordinated with local authorities to call on enterprises and benefactors to provide more financial support for needy students.
