Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga is the daughter of martyr Nguyen Hoang Tan and the niece of martyr Nguyen Truong who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists.

Representatives of Naval Region 4, Brigade 162, and the local authorities and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga cut the ribbon to inaugurate the gratitude house.

The house was completed with a total area of 100sq.m. The Naval Service contributed VND 80 million, the remaining was donated by the local authorities and the recipient’s family. In addition, the Naval Region 4 Command and Brigade 162 provided necessary home appliances, including a television and electric fan, among others for her family.

Speaking at the ceremony, Naval Captain Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 4, thanks the Party Committee, local authorities and people for supporting the unit in the construction of the gratitude house.

The activity showed the sentiment and gratitude of naval troops to martyrs’ families in general and Nga’s family in particular.

Over the past years, the Naval Region 4 Command has required Brigade 162 to thoroughly follow Binh Dinh’s situation, so as to promptly propose concrete plans to build gratitude houses.

Meanwhile, the command has closely worked with Binh Dinh province’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to effectively implement the program “Naval troops stand side by side with fishermen,” contributing to consolidating the military-civilian solidarity.

On the occasion, the unit visited and presented gifts to the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Chau in Cang Hau village, Hoai Son commune, Hoai Nhon district.
