With the theme of “the Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to reach out to sea,” the program was organized to present 150 versatile life jackets, 300 national flags, and 1,000 leaflets about regulations and legal procedures for fishing areas to local fishermen.

In addition, the organizers provided free health checkups and medicines for over 100 local fishermen, handed over 10 gifts to policy families and 20 gifts to students, who are children of needy fishermen. The naval region also planned to build a gratitude house in the province. 

According to the organizers, the total value of the program was nearly VND 300 million.

The program was a meaningful activity, which helped improve the quality and effectiveness of law dissemination and education on national sea and islands, contributing to promoting the role of local fishermen in safeguarding the national sovereignty as well as building solidarity between them and naval troops.
