Fishermen in Tam Quang commune receiving gifts

On the occasion, the Naval Region 3 Command presented gifts and handed over 100 national flags, 60 lifebuoys, 70 life-jackets, and more than 400m of anchor rope to 30 fishermen and two fisheries trade unions in Tam Giang and Tam Quang commune, Nui Thanh district, and three trawlers at Tam Quang fishing port.

The mission encouraged and handed over gifts, worth VND 130 million, to two families whose relatives died in an accident at sea and two other families whose children are receiving care from naval troops.

The visit and gift presentation were practical activities to enhance the effectiveness of the “Vietnamese Navy is a fulcrum for fishermen to fish offshore” program on supporting and taking care of children of needy fishermen, thus helping fishermen feel secure to continue to fish at sea and protect national sovereignty over sea and islands.
