At the launch of Truong Sa treatment room

This was an activity in celebration of the 67th Vietnamese Physicians’ Day (February 27) and to show the sentiments of the doctors and medical staff of the hospital to troops and people on Truong Sa Islands.

The event saw the participation of Political Commissar of Naval Region 4 Command Rear Admiral Ngo Van Thuan and Director of the National Hospital of Endocrinology Phan Hoang Hiep.

The three rooms belong to the hospital’s Department of High-Tech Treatment with total 12 beds. All of them are equipped with the most modern and high-tech treatment technologies for endocrine diseases and metabolic disorders. The facilities will give treatment priority to Truong Sa troops, their relatives, and islanders.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance medical cooperation between the Naval Region 4 Command and the National Hospital of Endocrinology was inked. Accordingly, the two sides will raise the quality of health care services for troops and people stationed in Cam Ranh Military Base area and give medical assistance and prioritize treatment for officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4 at the hospital.

Since 2019, the National Hospital of Endocrinology has sent many medical teams and doctors to provide health consultations and treatment for nearly 800 officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4. The hospital has also conducted training courses to raise competence for 20 military medical staff while receiving and treating 40 troops of the region. Especially, in 2020, the hospital sponsored a project to upgrade the consulting room of the infirmary in the region.
