Over the past time, the Tien Giang provincial Party organization, authorities, and local people have always braved all difficulties and made efforts to obtain important achievements, and contribute to ensuring policies for national contributors and social security, thus improving the material and spiritual lives of policy beneficiaries and natural contributors.
The province currently has over 130,000 policy beneficiaries and national contributors.

During the get-together, General Can inquired after national contributors’ health and presented gifts and informed them of gratitude activities conducted by the military over the past time.
This year, military units have built more than 570 houses, worth more than VND 35.6 billion, taken care of 1,853 Vietnamese heroic mothers, presented 40 savings books, provided free health check-ups and medicine to over 46,100 people, and allocated VND 9.7 billion to assist convalescent centers, and the Vietnam Association for Agent Orange/Dioxin victims to take care of wounded troops and those in need.
Especially, due to the severe consequences of the flooding that has caused significant losses for people in the Central region, the MND directed its affiliated units in Military Region 4 to mobilize troops and vehicles to conduct search and rescue missions. Unfortunately, 33 troops were killed in landslides during these rescue missions.
Concluding the event, General Can hoped that the national contributors will continue bringing into full play the tradition of their hometown, and make more contributions to socio-economic development in their localities.
