On the occasion, General Do Can briefed the delegates on the military’s activities over the past time, especially policy work and gratitude activities.
In detail, the whole military has launched emulation movements and conducted gratitude activities for national contributors. Since 2013, military units have provided financial support to build more than 8,600 gratitude houses and take care of 2,897 heroic Vietnamese mothers, presented more than 6,400 savings books to policy people and national contributors, provided vehicles and medical equipment for convalescent centers for national contributors, and more.
These practical activities of the whole military’s troops have contributed to the whole Party and people’s efforts in taking care of material and spiritual life for policy beneficiaries and national contributors, while educating troops, especially youngsters, of the gratitude tradition of the Vietnamese people.

On the occasion, General Do Can expressed gratitude to the provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people for their support for troops during combat against foreign invaders, and in current military building.
Over the past time, the Party Organization, authorities, troops, and people of Bac Lieu have made great efforts and heightened responsibility in implementing policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution. The province currently has more than 71,000 national contributors and their families, including more than 2,100 heroic Vietnamese mothers, 100 war veterans, more than 1,300 prisons of war, and more than 2,500 revolutionaries and their children exposed to toxic chemicals, and so on.
