Upon receiving the report, the commune's Military Command quickly mobilized dozens of people to assist the residents and help stabilize their life. Nguyen Duc Loc, Commanding Officer of the commune's Military Command, stated that around 5p.m. on April 6, the area experienced severe weather conditions. Following the instructions of the commune's People's Committee and Steering Board for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, nearly 40 militiamen, divided into three teams and deployed in three directions were deployed to assist people.

In the most heavily damaged area of Dak Rla hamlet, where 20 households had their roofs blown off, houses damaged, and flowers destroyed, Y Chan Pha, Second-in-Command of the commune's Military Command, directly joined the disaster relief efforts. Soldiers quickly helped move the belongings of affected households to neighboring houses for temporary shelter at night. According to local authorities, a tornado damaged 28 houses, including 10 sturdy houses with large roofs blown off, 2 houses with collapsed walls, and a vaulted roof and gate of a kindergarten in Dak Rla hamlet. The total damage to houses, properties, and crops of locals was estimated at over VND 1.6 billion.

Y Yoi Ya's house in Dak Rla hamlet, which was about 42 sq.m. with wooden walls, tin roofs, and earthen floors, was completely destroyed when the tornado passed through. His wife’s leg was broken and she could not move. The family is currently living in a temporary shelter.

On the evening of April 6, the Party Committee, People's Committee, and organizations of Dak N'Drot commune immediately went to the affected area to visit and support affected people. At the same time, the local authorities directed forces to help families overcome the aftermath and relocate to safe places. On the following days, the local authorities mobilized troops and people to coordinate with other forces to help the affected people stabilize their lives.

The timely and effective actions of the militiamen in Dak N'Drot commune have left a deep impression on the local people and have been recognized and highly appreciated by the local party committee and authorities. Through these actions, they have demonstrated the spirit of solidarity among Vietnamese people and the virtuous qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
