It had four crew-members and was captained by fisherman Nguyen Van Chien from Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province.

Then, the distressed fishing ship promptly moved to the island and asked for help. On April 15, the trawler was repaired and resumed its normal operations.

Previously, on April 12, the center also helped repair another trawler numbered BTh-96746TS, captained by fisherman Nguyen Minh Thanh from Phu Quy district, Ninh Thuan province.

* On April 16, Cai Doi Vam Border Post under the Ca Mau provincial Border Guard Command rescued two fishermen on a trawler captained by Mr. Giang Thanh Quyet from Phu Tan district, Ca Mau province.

Earlier, the fishing ship sank five nautical miles from Northwestern Cai Doi Vam sea gate while heading to the mainland.

The border post sent a speed boat and six troops, and mobilized another fishing ship to the scene to successfully conduct the search and rescue work.
