Coast guard troops present gifts to fishermen in Thua Thien Hue

At Thuan An fishing port, Commanding Officer of Coast Guard Region 2 Senior Colonel Tran Quang Tuan, Coast Guard Region 2’s Political Commissar Senior Colonel Le Huy Sinh, and representatives of the Laborer’s Newspaper and the Thua Thien Hue provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission handed over 2,000 national flags, 20 medical bags, and gifts to needy fishermen.

On the occasion, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command disseminated regulations on fishing at sea and illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing prevention to fishermen.

The mission of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command also worked with local authorities to visit, encourage, and present gifts to the family of Ha Thi Thao in Tan Binh residential area, Thuan An ward, Hue city. Thao’s husband and son went missing when they were fishing at sea.

This activity was part of the “Coast guards stand by fishermen” program launched by the Coast Guard Region 2 Command and the Thua Thien Hue provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission.
