Do Van Dung, Chairman of Tho Chau communal People’s Committee, said that on January 2 and 3, units of Military Region 9, Naval Region 5, Coast Guard and Border Guard and  forces in action helped locals reinforce houses and move fish cages to safer places.

Until January 3, more than 600 fishing boats in Tho Chu Island took shelters.
