Military units asked to organize activities responding to Vietnam’s Book Day
PANO - Military units should organize a wide range of activities in response to the Vietnam’s Book Day in close attachment with popularizing and introducing books marking political events of the country.
The suggestion was under a plan on hosting the day, the fifth of its kind in the whole army, which the Department of Information and Training under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army has deployed.
Political events include the 70 years of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for national patriotism (June 11), 43rd anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30), the 64th anniversary of the victory of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign (May 7), and the 128th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19) and more.
The People’s Army Publishing House, the Military Library were asked to host such activities and coordinated with other military agencies, units, academies and schools to hold exchanges, introductions of books, contributing to further boosting the reading culture among troops and making it a nice feature in their spiritual and cultural life.
