Military unit takes care of local people
PANO - In addition to fulfilling their training and combat readiness duties, Division 320 of Army Corps 34 has excelled in mass mobilization work. The unit has launched many practical activities, strengthening the military-civilian ties.
Old Brung in Tieng 2 village, Bien Ho commune, Pleiku city, Gia Lai province, whose house was built thanks to the assistance of the unit, held that without the support of the troops, his family would still be living in a dilapidated house.

Old Brung’s family does casual work year-round, with unstable income. Having learned about this situation, the division provided VND 70 million and donated nearly 100 working days to help the family build a new house, which covers an area of 60 sq.m.
According to Senior Colonel Vo Son Anh, Political Commissar of Division 320, in 2023 and 2024, the unit contributed nearly VND 2 billion to implement the “Military troops paving the way to school for children” program, helping 71 students in border communes in Duc Co district, and built 4 houses for needy families, presenting gifts to needy households in Pleiku city. The division also dedicated nearly 200 working days to tree planting and road cleaning, donated 1,000kg of rice to policy beneficiaries and needy families.
The division is implementing a VND 3.5 billion cattle breeding project in Ia Lang commune, Duc Co district, benefiting 66 households. To date, 13 calves have been born from 132 cows.
Nguyen Quoc Vinh, Chairman of the Bien Ho commune People’s Committee affirmed that the division has always worked with local authorities to carry out mass mobilization activities, helping local people overcome difficulties.
