The mission aims to detect and detonate landmines and UXOs left from the war, ensuring safety for people, vehicles, and infrastructures in the lower reach of the Da River, especially within the area from the safe zone around the Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Plant to Thong Nhat Bridge in Thinh Lang ward, Hoa Binh city. The Hoa Binh provincial Military Command has deployed over 50 troops to perform the task.

In addition, the Hoa Binh provincial Military Command has brought equipment, materials, coordinating with relevant agencies, to ensure absolute safety during task performance at an area of about 300,000 square meters.

The task started from May 7 and is expected to be completed by June 6, 2025. During the task implementation, the Hoa Binh provincial Military Command will work with other agencies to organize traffic diversion on the three bridges across the Da River, namely Hoa Binh, Huu Nghi, and Thong Nhat bridges, to ensure safety.

Earlier, the Hoa Binh provincial Military Command's units had cleared, and safely detonated dozens of artillery shells and UXOs in the lower reach of the Da River. Notably, at the beginning of 2025, 18 unexploded artillery shells were addressed, ensuring complete safety.
