Military unit conducts gratitude program in Cao Bang
PANO – A delegation of the Department of Political Affairs under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army organized a gratitude program from October 20 to 22 in Cao Bang province.
The program was part of activities in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Tay Bac (Northwest) Victory (1952-2022), towards the 50th anniversary of the “Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the air” Victory (1972-2022) and the 78th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (1944-2022).

During program, delegates offered incense at Uncle Ho’s Temple and Hero and Martyr Kim Dong’s Tomb, and visited Pac Po Cave relic site in Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province.
The delegation presented 20 gifts to policy beneficiaries in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, 50 gifts and a bookcase to students of Dam Thuy Primary School, and 100 warm clothes to local people and troops at Dam Thuy Border Station. The total cost of the gifts was VND 65 million.
According to Major General Chu Van Doan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Staff – the Defense Ministry’s Organ, the program contributed to educating traditions for the young generation and promoting military-civilian solidarity among the unit’s staff and the local authorities and people.
On behalf of the local troops and people, Lieutenant Colonel Luong Tuan Manh, Commanding Officer of Dam Thuy Border Station, expressed deep gratitude to the delegation.
