General staff mission presents gifts to flood-hit people
PANO - A mission of the General Staff, led by its Deputy Political Commissar Senior Colonel Hoang Van Tiep, presented gifts on January 8 to the people affected by the recent floods and storms.

Particularly, delegates visited and offered gifts and cash to families of soldiers who had sacrificed their lives while helping Thua Thien - Hue people overcome natural disaster consequences. They also visited and presented gifts to 390 families and 12 communes who had lost lives and property in floods and storms in 2020.
According to the mission, all of the gifts for fallen soldiers’ families and flood-hit people were donated by cadres, youths, and women of the General Staff.
On the occasion, delegates from the General Staff also offered incense and laid wreaths in commemoration of General Vo Nguyen Giap at his grave and at the National Special Historical Relic of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.
In the solemn atmosphere, delegates expressed their deep gratitude to the great contributions of General Vo Nguyen Giap and fallen soldiers to national independence and freedom.
