At Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh City, Air Defense Brigade 77 under Military Region 7 handed over more than 1 ton of vegetables and other basic necessities to the city’s Fatherland Front Committee to help the city fight COVID-19 on August 13.

The gifts will be allocated to quarantine and locked-down areas to assist needy COVID-19-hit people.

The gifts demonstrated the brigade’s troops’ solidarity and high sense of responsibility for the city’s COVID-19 control efforts.

Meanwhile, the organizing panel of the “Zero dong mobile market” of Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province handed over 30 tons of necessary goods, including rice, vegetables and instant noodles, among others, to Binh Duong province’s Youth Union Organization.

The goods, worth VND 300 million, will be given to disadvantaged youths, workers, and laborers affected by COVID-19 in the locality.

Also on August 13, a delegation of Division 968 under Army Corps 4, led by its deputy political commissar Senior Colonel Pham Van Sam, visited and presented gifts to on-duty troops at a quarantine facility managed by Regiment 9 of Division 968.

On behalf of the delegation, Sam highly praised the troops for their great efforts in overcoming difficulties, staying united, and working round the clock to serve quarantined people and contribute to the locality’s effective COVID-19 combat.

He asked them to continue implementing COVID-19 prevention and control measures, ensuring safety at work, and taking better care of the quarantined people.

On this occasion, Division 968 presented gifts to people quarantined at Regiment 9-run facilities.

The same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command received VND 500 million and other necessaries from Masan Group Joint Stock Company under Masan Group to fight COVID-19.

Also, via the Fatherland Front Committee’s Ho Chi Minh City chapter, DKSH Vietnam Co., Ltd. donated VND 400 million to District 10 and other medical supplies worth over VND 4.1 billion to agencies, units and hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City to prevent and control COVID-19.

The committee also received VND 400 million from R&B Vietnam Co., Ltd. to help the city cope with the disease.
