Island doctors successfully treat patient with acute appendicitis
PANO - A medical team from Military Hospital 354 under the General Department of Logistics has successfully conducted a surgery on a patient suffering from acute appendicitis on Sinh Ton Dong Island in Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province.

Previously at 7:00 am on March 30, soldier Truong Phuong Nam, 1994, working on a boat of Brigade 146, Naval Region 4, had severe abdominal pain and was hospitalized at the island’s infirmary.
The medical team gave him a scan and concluded that he had acute appendicitis and needed urgent surgery.
It took the team nearly one hour and a half to perform the operation. After the appendectomy, the patient is now recovering.
