GDL’s affiliate conducts meaningful activities in Thai Nguyen province
PANO - A mission from the Department of Military Supplies under the General Department of Logistics (GDL), led by its deputy director Senior Colonel Ha Chi Dung organized a wide range of “returning to the roots” activities in Van Yen commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province on July 14.

The activity was in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022).
The mission offered incense in tribute to heroes and fallen troops at the commune’s War Cemetery, laid wreath at the memorial stele marking the foundation day of the Department of Military Supplies. The mission also presented gifts to local wounded and sick soldiers, families of fallen troops, and national contributors.

Meeting with local policy beneficiaries, Colonel Dung stressed that this “return-to-the root” program was a good chance for the department’s personnel to show their deep gratitude to Van Yen commune’s Party Committee, authorities, and people and at the same time educate them, especially young ones, of the glorious traditions of the military supplies sector, and great support of Van Yen commune’s Party Committee, authorities, and people for the Department of Military Supplies in its early days.
In this occasion, the mission presented gifts to Van Yen commune, party committee of Nui village, and typical policy beneficiaries.
