Over the past time, GDL’s affiliated agencies and units have carried out dissemination and education work among troops and staff about the nation’s traditions and conducted many practical activities, contributing to beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, promoting local socio-economical development and fostering military-civilian relations.

Sr. Col. Pham Van Hieu giving financial support for the house construction to the family of Dao Van Dong |
Dao Van Dong is a national contributor, whose family is facing many difficulties. Learning about his situation, in last May, the GDL decided to provide VND 80 million to help Dong’s family build a new house. The 100 sq.m-house has been completed as scheduled.
Authorized by the GDL’s leaders, Senior Colonel Pham Van Hieu, Head of Department of Logistics of the GDL, attended the ceremony to inaugurate and hand over the “great unity” house, and financial support to Dong’s family.
In his remarks, Sr. Col. Pham Van Hieu expressed gratitude to Party committees at all levels, local authorities, departments, branches, and organizations for their coordination in the house construction. He also hoped that Dong’s family will continue to uphold revolutionary traditions and make active contribution to the building of hometown.
* The same day, the GDL’s Department of Logistics offered gifts to needy households and policy beneficiaries in Nhat Tan commune, Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province.
According to Col. Hieu, these activities have contributed to deepening military-civilian solidarity and building a firm people’s heart posture.
