Department of Finance presents houses and gifts to policy beneficiaries in Nam Dinh
PANO - On August 2, a delegation from the Department of Finance (Ministry of National Defense), led by Major General Luu Sy Quy, Director of the Department of Finance, in collaboration with local authorities, handed over gratitude houses and houses of “great solidarity” to policy beneficiaries in Giao Yen commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province.
The program was held as part of the activities in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People's Defense Festive Day.

During the program, the Department of Finance inaugurated and handed over a gratitude house to the family of Old Luu Thi Thung (mother of a martyr) in Hamlet 2, and two houses of “great solidarity” to the families of Old Luu Cong Truong in Hamlet 1 and Mr. Tran Van Tham in Hamlet 3.

Apart from the donation of VND 80 million for each gratitude house and VND 50 million for each house of “great solidarity” according to the Ministry of National Defense's regulations, the Department of Finance also provided additional funds for the families to purchase household items.

On this occasion, the Department of Finance presented 21 gifts (worth VND 2 million each) to 21 policy beneficiary families and national contributors in Giao Yen commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province. Leaders from Nam Dinh province and Giao Thuy district also gave many gifts to policy beneficiaries in Giao Yen commune.

In his speech, Major General Luu Sy Quy emphasized, “This activity is extremely meaningful. It not only continues the beautiful traditions and precious ethics of the nation but also represents the responsibility and gratitude of the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army in general, and the troops of the Department of Finance in particular, towards the previous generations.”
