During the launching ceremony, local Quang Van Bien was touched as his daughter, Quang Thi Huong Giang, a student of class 3A2, received support from the club. Bien shared that the support eased his family’s difficulties, creating better conditions for his daughter to continue studying.

The “Fulcrum of Love” club presents gifts to disadvantaged students.

Apart from Giang, the club gave support to Le Van Tien, a student of class 6B. His parents are divorced and he is living with his grandmother. “I will study hard to deserve the support and attention of the club,” Tien promised.

In order to help orphaned and disadvantaged students and lonely people to overcome their difficulties, Defense-Economic Unit 4 gave recommendations to higher levels and local authorities to direct Team 6 and the Youth Union Organization of Hanh Dich commune to open the “Fulcrum of Love” club.

According to Major Vy Thanh Tu, Acting head of Team 6, supporting two students in difficult conditions was the first activity of the club. With the funds from the production activities of Team 6 and from benefactors, the club will provide monthly support for orphaned children and the elderly with an amount of VND 300,000 to 500,000. The support will last for a year.

Hanh Dich is a border commune. Almost all the population is ethnic minority people with hard living conditions. Over the past time, Team 6 and Defense-Economic Unit 4 have carried out various activities to build a firm political base, contributing to ensuring political security and social order and safety in border areas while building many models to help local authorities and people promote socio-economic development, eradicate hunger and reduce poverty, disseminate information to encourage people to strictly observe the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and law, among others.

Ha Van Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Hanh Dich commune Party Committee, underlined that the club’s activities will help people overcome their difficulties and encourage the commune’s youths to boost their vanguard role and enthusiasm and heighten their responsibility to contribute to the hometown’s development.
