Contents regarding border regulations, drug prevention, human trafficking, illegal immigration, and cyber fraud are swiftly shared via Zalo and Facebook groups.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Son, one member in the post’s chain-of-command leads the digital transformation team. The team meets weekly to select practical contents tailored to local ethnic groups. Issues of public interest are presented concisely with illustrations, minimizing legal jargon for easy comprehension. Crucial matters are still explained directly to residents by the officers.
Currently, the mass mobilization team of the Tam Hop Border Post also participates in Zalo groups involving village heads, cell party secretaries, village elders, prestigious people, and locals. Every month, the team regularly posts legal information, crime warnings, weather forecasts, and other information updates directly relevant to daily life.
The effectiveness is evident in Pha Lom village (Tam Thai commune), the most remote area of the commune. Previously hindered by rugged terrain, locals can now access news at home via mobile networks. Va Y Pia, a resident of Pha Lom village, shared that locals used to post farming photos on Facebook, unknowingly revealing border guard positions. Thanks to explanations at village meetings and Zalo posts, residents now remind each other to exercise caution before posting images online.
Beyond receiving information, locals actively report anomalies via Zalo. Tam Hop Border Post’s officers noted that residents have reported strangers and suspected smugglers through social media, enabling functional forces to verify and handle cases promptly.
