Defense Minister extends Tet greetings to former defense leader

During the visit, General Phan Van Giang inquired after and extended lunar New Year (Tet) greetings to the former defense minister and his family.

General Phan Van Giang also briefed General Pham Van Tra on several key missions that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense are implemented, and at the same time expressed his hoped that the former defense minister will continue giving his valuable opinions to the military’s reinforcement and development as well as  the national construction and defense cause.

In turn, General Pham Van Tra thanked the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the defense minister for the care on the occasion of the traditional Tet festival. He expressed his delight at seeing the whole-military’s achievements over the past year and believed that the Vietnam People’s Army will continue growing to meet its task requirements in the current context.

On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang presented Tet gifts to General Pham Van Tra, wishing his family a happy, healthy, and prosperous lunar new year.
