Deputy defense minister receives newly-appointed Polish defense attaché
PANO – Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, hosted a reception for Colonel Jaroslaw Bondalski, newly-appointed Polish Defense Attaché to Vietnam, on January 16 at the defense ministry’s headquaters.
At the reception, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien congratulated Colonel Jaroslaw Bondalski on undertaking the new post, and expressed his belief that the officer will make positive contribution to the traditional friendship between the two countries in general and their defense ties in particular.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien reaffirmed that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense backs the promotion of the two countries’ defense cooperation in accordance with the 2010 memorandum of understanding (MoU) on bilateral defense cooperation, and at the same time highly valued cooperative results between the two sides over the past time.
He proposed both sides continue to implement cooperation activities on the basis of the MoU, focusing on delegation exchanges, training, and defense industry. The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense is willing to create favorable conditions for the Polish Defense Attaché to work with Vietnamese agencies and units to boost and seek new cooperation opportinuties.
For his part, Colonel Jaroslaw Bondalski thanked Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien for the reception. He highlighted that Poland attaches importance to its defense cooperation with Vietnam, and considers the Southeast Asian nation an important partner. The Polish Defense Attaché pledged that in his working tenure, he will exert all efforts to further promote bilateral defense ties.
