Coast guard Flotilla 42 conducts voluntary work

Youths participating in the environmental protection event

More than 150 youths from Coast Guard Flotilla 42, Nam Can district, Nam Can townlet, and local authorities cleared bushes and cleaned a 5km-long road in Hang Vinh residential area, Phan Ngoc Hien Secondary School, Phan Ngoc Hien High School; collected around three tons of garbage. 

The activity was organized to raise youths’ awareness of the significance and importance of keeping clean environment, contributing to protecting the environment, preventing epidemics, and taking care of people’s health. 

The event was also to promote the vanguard and voluntary spirit of youths of the flotilla and localities in participating in information dissemination and environmental protection and climate change response activities, thus encouraging others to join hands and build habits to protect the environment.

Troops participating in the International Military Sports Council military sports day

The same day, more than 50 troops of the unit participated in the International Military Sports Council (CISM) military sports day and Olympic Run and sports exchange for the public’s health in 2023 held by Nam Can district. It was not only a sports event, but also an information dissemination and political education activity to encourage and promote sports movement and respond to the “Whole people doing physical exercises following Uncle Ho’s example” movement and “CISM friendship through sports day” guideline. 

This meaningful and practical activity contributed to not only building of new-style rural areas, but also enriching the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Coast Guard soldiers" in people’s heart.
