Coast guard troops build new-style rural areas
PANO - Flotilla 202 of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, in collaboration of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trieu An commune (Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province), held a ceremony on March 9 to launch a new-style rural area embellishing program in 2022.

After the launching ceremony, more than 30 troops of the unit, representatives of local agencies and units, and people in Trieu An commune cleaned, repaired, and cleared bushes on rural roads. They also did the cleaning at ports and along the beach.
These activities were to build a green, clean, and beautiful rural area and raise people’s living standards, contributing to local Party Organization’s and residents’ efforts to meet all criteria of a new-style rural area in 2022.

The program also demonstrated the role of the coast guard force in socio-economic development, new-style rural area building, and defense and security consolidation. It also helped strengthen the close relationship between troops and people and further consolidate the “people’s heart” posture.
