Coast Guard Region 2 opens good ship contest
PANO - The Coast Guard Region 2 Command kicked off a good maintenance contest for its ships on October 26.

Seven vessels compete in the event |
This year event drew the participation of seven vessels from relevant units of the coast guard region.
The three-day contest consists of two categories of theory and practice. In the theory category, participants have to do knowledge tests on ship and specialized sectors. In the practice category, they have to perform skills in electromechanics, weapons, and electronic weapons.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Tan, Deputy Commander of the coast guard region, stressed that the contest aims to evaluate the units’ task performance of technical affairs and their implementation of the campaign of “Managing and exploiting weapons and equipment effectively, sustainably, safely, economically and ensuring traffic safety”. Thus, they learned experience to make good use of weapon and equipment as well as improve mission accomplishment in the time to come.
