Coast Guard Region 2 popularizes IUU fishing prevention in Quang Tri

During the program, officers of the Coast Guard Region 2 updated local fishermen with information related to the Vietnam Coast Guard Law in 2018, regulations on IUU fishing prevention, impact of the E.U. yellow card on Vietnam’s seafood imports and exports, and documents related to legal fishing at sea, among others.

On the occasion, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command presented 50 gifts, worth VND 1 million each, to needy families in Vinh Thai and Kim Thach communes (Vinh Linh district) and handed over 500 national flags, 300 leaflets and 150 books on the Vietnam Coast Guard Law to fishermen.
