At the event, the organizing panel presented 250 gifts to poor households, families with difficult conditions, policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged students; and handed over three great solidarity houses to needy families. Meanwhile, many activities took place, including providing free health check-ups and medicines for people; Chung cake (square glutinous rice cake) making festive day, folk games, among others.

According to Senior Colonel Bui Duc Chinh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Command, the program aimed to show the sentiments of border troops toward local people in border areas so that they could continue to stand by with the local authority, forces and the border guards in protecting national sovereignty and border security.
