Accordingly, the program will be organized in Ha Tien city, Kien Giang province from January 18 to 23, 2024. Within the framework of the event, the organizing panel will carry out a series of activities, including offering incense and flowers to pay tribute to martyrs; visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries; visiting and extending Tet (lunar New Year) greetings to local authorities, people, students, and border protection and management forces in Vietnam and Cambodia; providing free health check-ups and medicines for local people; conducting cultural, artistic and sports exchanges, and “zero-VND stall” program; and handing over breeding cows to needy people in border areas, to name but a few.

During the working sessions, functional agencies of the Vietnam Border Guard Command informed that they are working with relevant agencies to complete the program’s scenarios; build a concrete plan for dissemination work before, during, and after the program; and ensure security and safety for the delegates, and more.

Also at the event, the delegates discussed and agreed on plans to deal with arising issues and obstacles in the organization of the program.

In his concluding remarks, Major General Tran Van Bung spoke highly of the coordination between agencies and units, underlining that it is a large-scale program with the attendance of leaders of the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense. Functional agencies should pay much attention to ensuring security and safety for the delegates while heightening their responsibilities to accomplish their assignments.

Also, Gen. Bung urged functional agencies to promptly complete the preparations to ensure the success of the program, contributing to leaving good impressions on the delegates and local people.
