* On January 4, at the Ia Lop commune People’s Committee, Ea Sup district, Dak Lak province, the Dak Lak provincial Border Guard Command, in collaboration with the Ea Sup district’s authorities, organizations, enterprises, and sponsors, held the “Warm spring in border areas” program on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2025. The program featured a series of activities, including a chung cake making festival, “Zero-VND stall.”

Handing over financial support to the needy households

On the occasion, five houses were handed over to needy border households, nearly 400 gifts were presented to needy and policy families, and needy students received support from the “Paving the way to school for children - Adopted children of border posts” program, among others.

During the event, over 300 local people had their health checked up and received free medicines. The total cost of the program was more than VND 800 million.

* On the same day, in Na Bung commune, Nam Po district, Dien Bien province, the Dien Bien provincial Border Guard Command and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee’s chapter in the province organized the “Whole-People Border Festive Day” and “Warm spring in border areas” program with various activities.

Making chung cake

The event provided financial support to build 44 “Great Solidarity” houses, worth totally over VND 2.2 billion, presented 30 gifts to disadvantaged households, and gave local people free health check-ups and medicines, worth totally VND 300 million.

* At the “Warm spring in border areas” program organized by the Soc Trang provincial Border Guard Command in coordination with the Vinh Chau township authorities, 21 bicycles, worth VND 42 million, and 500 notebooks were presented to needy students with good academic outcomes through the “Paving the way to school for children” program, while 130 gifts, worth totally VND 65 million were given to policy beneficiary and needy households. The event also featured cultural performances, folk games, and other activities to bring a festive atmosphere to local people.

* The “Border spring warms up coastal people’s hearts” program, organized by the Hai Phong city Border Guard Command, together with local authorities in coastal border districts, aimed to bring a warm and joyful spring to coastal people and support disadvantaged households.

Recently launched at Cat Hai Border Post, Cat Hai townlet, Cat Hai district, Hai Phong city, the program presented 40 gifts and 40 national flags to policy beneficiaries and needy households, as well as gifts for students through the “Paving the way to school for children” program.

During the program, many activities, such as cultural performances, folk games, chung cake making contest, and free health check-ups and medicines, were organized for local people in Cat Hai district.

* On the same day, Bu Chap Border Post in Dak Nong province and the otosaigon.com group, in collaboration with Quang Truc commune authorities, organized the “Spring of love” and “Warm spring in border areas” programs.

The event featured cultural exchanges, folk games, a “Zero-VND stall,” and free haircuts, creating a festive New Year atmosphere. About 150 gifts, worth VND 125 million, were also given to needy households, and necessities were presented to officers and soldiers at the post.
