First aid given to the fisherman

According to the post, while fishing in the Southeastern area of Phu Quy Island, fisherman Nguyen Van Nhat, born in 1984 was attacked by a swordfish, causing deep injury in his stomach, blood loss that threatened his life. The fishing ship’s captain sent out SOS signals.

Receiving the news, at 11:10 on October 6, the provincial Border Guard Command assigned the post to send rescue ship CN09 with 11 troops and two medical staff of Phu Quy district military-civilian health center on board to save the fisherman.

Due to rough sea caused by the fourth storm hitting Vietnam, the rescue ship reached trawler PY 96549 TS at nearly 14:00 the same day. The medical workers promptly gave first aid and dressed the wound on crew-member Nguyen Van Nhat. He was then transferred to the health center for treatment.
