Border guards offer national flags to fishermen
PANO - Naval Flotilla 2 under the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command gave local fishermen more than 200 national flags and 20 lifebuoys on July 28.
The activity aimed to boost information dissemination to the fishermen to help them feel at ease while fishing offshore and contribute to safeguarding national maritime sovereignty. It also helped consolidate the close tie between troops and people.

Apart from the presents, the naval unit also equipped local fishermen with legal documents related to the missions of protecting national sovereignty over seas and islands.
Since the beginning of this year, Naval Flotilla 2, in collaboration with the youth union organization of the Nghe An Border Guard Command and other coastal localities in Nghe An province, presented over 500 national flags and dozens of lifebuoys to local fishermen.
