Border guards join hands in sea cleaning campaign
PANO – Hundreds of troops from the Thai Binh provincial Border Guard Command and youths in the province’s Tien Hai district responded to the program “Clean up the sea” at Con Vanh beach.

The program aimed to raise border guards’, local youths’, and fishermen’s awareness of keeping the maritime environment clean.
As part of the program, representatives of local fishermen signed an agreement committing to actively protecting the maritime environment.
First launched in 2016 by the Vietnam Border Guard Command, the “Clean up the sea” program drew around 20,000 border guards and youths in coastal provinces to actively protect the maritime environment.
