Art program marks VPA’s founding anniversary
PANO - The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) held an art program themed “Vang mai khuc quan hanh” (Forever resounding marching songs) on Dec. 19 at the Military Theater in Hanoi.
It was in celebration of the 73rd founding anniversary of the VPA, the 28th Whole People’s Defense Festive Day, the 45th anniversary of “Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the Air” Victory, the 50th anniversary of Mau Than Offensive (1968), and the inauguration of the Military Theater.

The event saw the participation of Defense Minister, General Ngo Xuan Lich; Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, Director of the General Department of Politics of the VPA; Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the VPA’s General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, and other former senior defense leaders.
The program featured art performances by artists and actors from the Military Music and Dance Theater, the Military Drama Theater, the Military Cheo (Vietnamese traditional popular opera) Theater, the Military Culture and Arts University, and the Military Ceremonial Unit.
Among the performances were well-known art works and military marches, which brought back the heroic atmosphere of the VPA and people during the national construction and development cause.
