The event was also attended by the GDP’s Deputy Chief and Chairman of the Military Creative Youth Award Council Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, and representatives and leaders of affiliated units of the Ministry of National Defense.

Over the past years, thanks to the care of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, GDP, General Staff, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, and chains-of-command at all levels, the youth affairs and movements in general, and the military creative youth movement in particular have seen remarkable achievements in all fields and spread nationwide.

Military youths have enjoyed favorable conditions to promote their pioneering role in building the country and the Vietnam People’s Army into a revolutionary, regular, elite, gradually modern military, deserving the trust of the Party, State and people.

Reportedly, the 24th Military Creative Youth Awards received 777 entries meeting the set criteria from 42 participating units under the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense, an increase of 161 entries compared to the previous awards.

Notably, these entries focused on various fields, such as information technology, social sciences and humanities, chemistry, environment, education and training, weaponry, technological solutions, military logistics, military medicine, and culture and arts, to name but a few.

According to the assessment of the standing organ for the awards, many initiatives suggested solutions to enhance the training quality, combat readiness capability, and ideological and political education in the military.

According to proposals of the Military Creative Youth Award Council, the Ministry of National Defense leaders proposed to the Prime Minister to present certificates of merit to four outstanding collectives, and the Defense Minister to award certificates to 17 other collectives and 16 outstanding individuals with first prizes, and the GDP to grant certificates to 429 projects with six first, 94 second, 150 third, and 179 consolation prizes to the winners. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee also awarded the Creative Youth Badge to winners with first prizes, among others.

These certificates were considered an encouragement for military youths to try their best to do scientific research in the coming time.

The 24th Military Creative Youth Awards aimed to review the outcomes of the program, and honor outstanding winners, thereby encouraging youths in the whole military to boost their pioneering role in building the military and firmly safeguarding the Fatherland.
