PANO - The mission of the General Department of Politics led by Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, Deputy Director, on April 19th successfully completed its trip to the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands and DK1 Platform.

During the trip, the mission reviewed the combat readiness training; Party and political work; logistics; and technical work of officers and soldiers on the islands and the platforms. The outcomes of the working sessions and proposals will be submitted to the the General Department of Politics and other related organs.

Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan spoke highly of the task performance of the units stationed on the islands and DK1 Platforms and stressed that despite hardships, the people and soldiers there made great efforts to fulfill their tasks, significantly contributing to the firm protection of national maritime sovereignty.
