The exhibition and fair will be held in three days in the fourth quarter this year. The virtual space of the event will include booths, fairs, seminars, exchanges and business connections. Meanwhile, the live space, including a space for touch screens, 3D technology devices, AGV robots, will offer visitors experiences in virtual and augmented reality technologies. The opening ceremony of the event will take place at the live space.
Some 100 agencies, units, businesses inside and outside the military, organizations, investment funds, trade promotion centers in localities across the country have registered to take part in the event. At the meeting, Major General Tran Dinh Thang, Director of the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of National Defense said that it is the first time such an exhibition and fair would be held in a virtual form. Detailed plans for the event have been made carefully. One of the important preparations now is to promptly digitize showcased products.
In his speech, Lt. Gen. Huynh Chien Thang emphasized that the aim of the exhibition and fair is to popularize the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army in the production front and in coupling economic development with defense-security consolidation, thus encouraging all people and troops to build a firm people’s heart posture.
The exhibited products will demonstrate the potential of military science and technology, capabilities of the defense industry, and their important contributions to military-building, defense-security consolidation and firm Fatherland safeguarding, as well as military units’ pioneer role in applying information technology and other techno platforms. The event also aims at connecting businesses with domestic and international investors.
Noting that the event should be held in a solemn, scientific and economic manner, Gen. Thang asked relevant forces to make thorough preparations to organize the event as planned and the organizing committee to ensure smooth connection and security to attract visitors.
