Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, and member of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat and Chief of its Office Nguyen Van Nen sent congratulatory flowers to the newspaper.

Leaders of general departments, military regions, commands, academies and schools, military hospitals, companies, provincial and municipal military commands, military units, ministries, and localities visited and sent their best wishes to the military press agency on the day.

* From June 15 to 19, more than 50 military and civilian agencies and units in Ho Chi Minh City visited and presented flowers to the newspaper’s branch office in the city. 

During the visits, the units’ leaders acknowledged and highly appreciated the active contributions of the branch office of the People Army’s Newspaper to disseminate information in the city. They affirmed that articles from publications of the newspaper have helped popularize effective models and initiatives to readers across the country. They hoped that in the coming time the newspaper’s office in Ho Chi Minh City will increase information dissemination, contributing to encouraging troops and people to fulfil their assigned political missions, strengthening military-civilian relations, and popularizing the beautiful images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new period.

* On June 19, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics Senior Lieutenant General Do Can visited and congratulated the National Defense Journal, the Military Culture Journal, the Portal of the Ministry of National Defense, the War Veteran Newspaper, and the People's Army Cinema on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

During the visits, General Can emphasized that military press and media agencies are key forces of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press, and their contributions have been highly appreciated by leaders of the Party, State, Army, and readers. Military media platforms have firmly upheld political stance and presented all issues and events, especially military and defense activities, accurately, objectively, quickly, and vividly.

Congratulating military press and media agencies on the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics asked them to continue renewing dissemination methods to meet readers’ demand for information. More importantly, he urged the units to increase information dissemination to effectively fight against hostile forces’ “peaceful evolution” strategy and the demonstrations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation.”

* On the same day, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Association of Journalists and the Provincial Culture and Arts Association held a meeting to mark the event and honor outstanding reporters and artists in the 2015-2020 period.

Speaking at the event, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Thuy Lan highlighted the great contributions of central press and media agencies in the province as well as the province’s reporters and artists to the development of the province over the past time.

On the occasion, the province honored 40 outstanding reporters and artists with outstanding achievements over the past five years.
