During their visits, representatives from agencies and units praised the role of the newspaper as an important organ of the Central Military Commission and Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense as well as the voice of Vietnam’s armed forces and people. The PAN has successfully performed its information dissemination tasks on the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies, military-defense missions, the country’s socio-economic development, and the national emulation drives.

On behalf of the newspaper, Senior Colonel Doan Xuan Bo, the PAN’s Acting Editor-in-Chief, expressed his thanks for the care of agencies and units, pledging that the current staff and future generations of the PAN’s reporters and editors will continue striving to complete all assigned missions, deserving the trust of the leaders of the Party, State, military and people.

* The same day, the Youth Unions of the People’s Army Newspaper and the Military Broadcasting Center co-held a talk themed “Young journalists and political commentary journalism.”

The event aims to provide experience for young journalists and improve the quality of their articles in the field.

* The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21).

At the event, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Khanh Hai congratulated reporters, editors, and managers of press agencies nationwide.

On the occasion, the ministry handed over certificates of merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to five groups and fifteen individuals for their great achievements in reporting news related to culture, sports, and tourism in 2018 and 2019.

* On the morning of June 17, the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Journalists Association held a drawing for a futsal tournament in celebration of the 95th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21).

Accordingly, 13 male teams and four female teams from local press agencies will compete from June 20 to July 4 at Tao Dan Stadium in the round-robin format.
