Vietnam and Laos to promote logistics and technological cooperation

PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Truong Quang Khanh, Deputy Minister of National Defence, on June 24^th received the visiting Lieutenant General Suphet Phayvisit, Director of General Logistics and Technique Department under Lao People’s Army, at the Headquarters of the Vietnamese Defence Ministry.  

At the reception, the Vietnamese general hoped that the visit to Vietnam by Lieutenant General Suphet Phayvisit would contribute to developing the friendship and beautiful traditions of the two armies and the two peoples. The Vietnamese Deputy Defence Minister also laid stress on the importance of logistics and technology for the armies, and suggested that the two sides should promote cooperation in this field to build strong armies of the two countries.

For his part, the Lao General thanked the Vietnamese host for his warm reception and extended the greetings and best wishes from the Lao Defence Minister to his Vietnamese counterpart. He also briefed the host on the results of the meetings between the visiting delegation and General Departments of Logistics and Technology of the Vietnam People’s Army, and expressed confidence that the Vietnam-Laos defence cooperation would be promoted in both depth and width in the coming time.
