PANO – Veterans of the Political Department of the 719 Command met on its traditional day on January 7th in Hanoi, in the presence of former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu.

The participants recalled their feats of arms during the national resistance war and in serving the international obligation to help Cambodia overthrow the Pol Pot genocidal regime.

Veterans also laid stress on the role and the ways to carry out activities of political agencies in fulfilling international obligations, and drew lessons from coordinating with the Cambodian authorities, army and people.

Also at the meeting, a representative of the Propaganda and Training Department, under the General Department of Politics, briefed the participants on the results of cooperation and friendship of the two countries, two armies and two peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia over the past time.
